Murder inquiry launched in Mirfield

West Yorkshire Police have launched a murder investigation after a woman's body was found in Mirfield.

Officers were called to a property on Oddfella Street at around 1830 GMT on Tuesday. The woman believed to be in her 30s has not yet been formally identified.

A post mortem examination will be carried out to establish the cause of death. Anyone with information is urged to contact the police.
