Man's Body In River Aire

A man's body's been pulled from the River Aire in Leeds this morning.
Police were called to Neville Street after reports of a body seen in the water around 5.30am.
They found the man in the river and tried to resuscitate him but he died in hospital.
A police statement said: "At 5.30am today police were called to the River Aire at Neville Street in Leeds city centre where the body of a man had been seen in the water.
The man was recovered from the water and attempts were made by ambulance staff to resuscitate him before he was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the man's identity and the circumstances surrounding his death."
