Man Dies In M62 Crash

An East Yorkshire man has died after his car has come off the M62 near Howden and landed in a field.

The crash happened on the westbound carriageway at around 1.30am (Tuesday) when the Ford Mondeo Estate was found in a field at the side of the M62 between junctions 37 and 38.

The man believed to be from East Yorkshire and in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene.

The westbound carriageway was closed for around eight hours while police investigated the accident.
