2 men and a woman have been arrested after a man was critically injured outside his home in Keighley on Christmas Day.
Emergency Services were called to Spring Row at about 6.20pm after a neighbour found the 64-year-old victim with head injuries.
He is currently in a critical condition at Leeds General Infirmary.
Detectives have rested two men aged 51 and 46 and a woman aged 38, all from Keighley, on suspicion of section 18 assault.
Detective Chief Inspector Jon Morgan of the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team who is leading the enquiry, said:
"We are continuing to investigate this incident and are treating the matter as a serious assault.
"It is believed the victim may well have been in his home and has stepped outside to deal with a nuisance when he has been seriously assaulted and left until found by a passer by who contacted the emergency services.
"I would ask anyone in the Spring Row area of Keighley around 6pm to contact us if they saw a group of people behaving suspiciously, perhaps being loud or shouting or throwing stones at a window, or in any other manner which would have attracted attention.
"Although three people have been arrested on suspicion of an alleged assault, we very much need to speak to anyone who saw anything suspicious or has information."
