JCB Used To Steal North Yorkshire Cashpoint
A digger's been was used to take out an entire cash machine from the front of a Co-op store in Park Street in Masham.
North Yorkshire Police say it happened just before 3am on Monday. The road was closed as police carried out a forensic investigation.
A Police spokesman said : ``A JCB has been used to knock out the cashpoint from the wall and that has been taken away from the scene by means of a flat back trailer.''
Officers are urging farmers and others in the area to keep an eye out for any ``unusual'' vehicles after the thieves made off with the ATM on a flat back trailer.
Anyone with relevant information is being urged to call North Yorkshire police on 101.
