Police have charged 22-year-old Ryan Barry Lawrence Clements with the murder of a 25-year-old Mark Dewberry.
He's been remanded to appear at Hull Magistrates Court on Tuesday June 30.
The victim's family are being supported by specially trained officers.
Police were called at around 11.30pm on Saturday June 27 following a disturbance in the Albemarle Street area of Hull.
Mr Dewberry was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary by ambulance where he died a short time later from a fatal stab wound.
A 23-year-old woman arrested in connection with the death has been unconditionally released by the police.
Senior investigating Officer Detective Chief Inspector Wendy North said:
"Following a thorough investigation a 22-year-old man has been charged with murder and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with Mark Dewberry's death.
"I would like to thank the local community for their assistance with the investigation with many people contact the force to assist with enquiries."
