Police looking for a group of men they think were involved in some footie fan trouble in Huddersfield have released some CCTV images.
It happened on Saturday 19th May - the afternoon of the Championship Play-Off final. It's believed fans of Huddersfield Town, Bradford City and Leeds United were involved in the disorder
The group chased each other from Westgate and Market Street in Huddersfield, before heading to the railway station and spilling on to the tracks.
Several men chased each other through the platforms and eventually down the track towards Deighton causing sixty one trains to be delayed and seven to be cancelled altogether.
The disruption caused 893 minutes worth of delays and cost thousands in lost earnings, a loss that is footed by the tax payer.
Acting Detective Sergeant Nick Doyle of Huddersfield CID said: “These mindless individuals caused ordinary of the public to fear for their safety. Several scared shop owners locked themselves inside and one young man had to lock himself in the car whilst his Grandma shopped nearby.
“Behaviour of this kind will not be tolerated and we will bring those involved before the courts. I urge anyone who has any information to the identity of the men pictured to contact us."
