Five Arrested In Sheffield Murder Probe

South Yorkshire Police investigating the death of a 19-year-old man in Parsons Cross arrest five people.

The man, who is yet to be formally identified, was found injured by passers-by in Holgate Avenue at about 12.30am on Saturday. He was taken to the Northern General but died later.

Formal identifcation of the victim is expected to take place on Sunday.

The three men and two youths arrested on suspicion of murder remain in police custody.

It is believed the 19 yhear old victim had earlier been at a function at the White Horse Pub in Halifax Road, leaving there about 11.00pm to make his way home towards the Ecclesfield area.
