Yorkshire and the Humber has seen a drop in the number of young people who are not in work, at college or on a training course.
The latest figures show the region has seen the second biggest drop in NEETs - that is young people not in education, employment or training.
Nationally the number is down as well, and here it has dropped by 22,000 on this time last year.
At the end of 2011 there were 133,000 16 to 24 year old NEETS and there are now 111,000.
The biggest drop was seen in Manchester where 39,000 fewer young people are now classed at NEETs.
