Family’s Pain Over Stabbed Sheffield Mum

The family of women killed in Sheffield, have spoken to their ‘tragic loss’, as her son is charged with her murder.

57 year old Margaret Hobson, died from multiple stab wounds she suffered at her home in Lister Road, Walkley.

Her son Scott has been charged with her murder and will appear before Sheffield magistrates.

Her husband Michael said in a statement on behalf of the family: “We are devastated at the loss of Margaret Hobson, our much-loved, caring and thoughtful wife, mother and grandmother.

“Margaret died on Friday following tragic events at her home address at Walkley, Sheffield.

“Margaret was so strong in recovering from serious illness and the shock of her untimely death has been so painful to us all.

“She brought so much joy to all of our lives and will be sorely missed.''

Mr Hobson said the close, private family wished to be allowed to grieve in peace.

He urged anyone with information about what happened to contact South Yorkshire Police.
