A Doncaster man's been jailed for 21 years for the sexual abuse of three girls over a 15-year period.
40 year old Scott Anderton, from Blaxton, pleading guilty to five counts of indecent assault, two counts of rape and four counts of sexual activity with a child.
Anderton received a 14-year jail sentence for offences against one of his victims, a young girl who he abused on multiple occasions between 2004 and 2013.
He was also jailed for four years for offences relating to another young girl who he abused between 1999 and 2004 and a further three years for offences relating to a third victim, a girl he abused in 2014.
The girls were aged between four and 13-years-old and the abuse took place in the Doncaster area. The sentences are to run consecutively.
Investigating officer Detective Nichole Russell said:
"Anderton preyed on these young vulnerable girls for his own sexual gratification and subjected them to awful abuse.
"All three victims have shown tremendous courage coming forward to report their horrific experience and I hope they are comforted by the knowledge that their abuser is now behind bars for a significant period of time."
"The impact of these horrendous crimes on the girls' lives is nothing short of heartbreaking. They have spent years living in fear and tormented by what happened to them.
"I hope yesterday’s hearing marks a conclusion of sorts for them and that they now feel they can begin the painful process of beginning a new chapter in their lives."
