A man has been jailed for his part in an attack on a teenage girl, who was repeatedly sexually attacked by a group of men Dewsbury.

26 year old Ali Rehman, was sentenced at Leeds Crown Court for his part in the attack on the teenager in May 2010.

The schoolgirl was “treated as little more than an object, something to use and abuse”, an earlier hearing was told.

Rehman admitted raping the victim earlier this year.

Another man, Faisar Younas, who admitted sexual activity with a child, was jailed for four years.

A third defendant, Larasab Hussain, will be sentenced later.

Earlier this year, the trial was halted after pleas were entered by Rehman, Younas and Hussain.

The court heard how the girl was taken to three different houses in Dewsbury where she was raped and sexually assaulted.

Video clips showing the naked teenager being indecently touched by some of the men were shown to the jury during the opening of the trial.

Rehman, of Tanhouse Street, Ravensthorpe, Dewsbury, admitted three counts of raping the girl and another count of attempted rape.

23 year old Younas, of Textile Street, Dewsbury, admitted sexual activity with a child.

45 year old Hussain, of Headfield Road, Savile Town, Dewsbury, admitted a charge of sexual assault. He will be sentenced on July 4. Earlier this year, the CPS said it would offer no further evidence against three other men who were originally charged and involved in the same trial as Rehman, Younas and Hussain.
