Darnall Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder And Robbery

A man from Darnall has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and robbery after an elderly man was attacked.
The 79-year-old was found unconscious on Monday and has been left with life threatening injuries including a fractured skull and a bleed on the brain.
Police believe the victim could have been attacked for his car key. He remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
