Police have named the man who was found dead after a flat fire in Cantley on Christmas Eve.
40-year-old Andrew Massarella from Callender Court, Cantley was found dead by fire officers tackling the blaze at his home in the early hours of Saturday. They also discovered the body of his dog.
Fire investigators from South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue have completed their investigation and believe the fire was started accidentally by a lit cigarette.
However, police are still treating the death as suspicious until the results of forensic examinations are known.
