This years Bradford Mela has been cancelled because of all the rain.
The Council’s organiser and parks managers say Peel Park is water logged, so they have had to cancel the show for safety reasons.
The Mela, which consists of stages, marquees, fairground rides and temporary buildings wouldn’t work on the soft and shifting ground in Peel Park.
The Mela was organised for Saturday, 9 June from 12pm until 8pm.
There are pools of standing water in key areas, including the car park, plus there is more rain on the way according to the MET Office.
The council is worried the land would be majorly damaged if the event went ahead, and it would take years for it to recover.
