Body Found After Sheffield Chemical Leak

A man has died after a chemcial-related incident in Sheffield, causing the evacuation of nearby homes.

The body of the 20 year old was discovered at a house in Holland Place off London Road at around 2pm on Monday.

Police say his death is not being treated as suspicious, a post mortem will be held to discover the cause of death.

Roads around the scene were closed as teams wearing protective clothing were called to deal with a potentially hazardous substance inside the house. But neighbours were able to return to their homes at around 6pm after it was decided there was no threat to the public.
