Arrest Made In Missing York Chef Murder Case

Detectives investigating the disappearance of Claudia Lawrence have arrested a 46-year-old man from York.

He's being held on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.

The man is currently being interviewed in custody while searches and forensic enquiries are conducted in relation to the investigation.

Police have been at The Acomb Pub, in Acomb since this morning.

Officers from both North Yorkshire Police and the Durham Constabulary are at the scene.

Claudia was last seen in March 2009 when she was working as a chef at the University of York.

2 fresh appeals have been made this year, one on the fifth anniversary of her disappearance and another on what would have been her 40th birthday.
