People in mid Wales say they're devastated after a crash which killed 4 people and left a baby girl seriously injured.
A car, a van and a tanker collided on A44 near Aberystwyth yesterday afternoon just before 3 o'clock.
Two men and two women who were travelling in the car died at the scene.
The baby girl was also a passenger and is being treated at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff for serious head injuries.
It's believed they're from the same family.
Police say all those in the car were from Llanidloes.
Specialist officers are supporting the families of those involved.
Gareth Morgan is a local councillor in the town. He said: "We are a very close knit community and I know that the community will very much warm to these families, embrace them and give them all the support they need."
"When you see these accidents - so many times it occurs to people travelling through the area but when it happens to four people from your own community it's pretty hard and an awful shock."
The A44 is one of the main routes through mid Wales - linking Ceredigion with Powys.
A 21 mile stretch between Llangurig and Ponterwyd was closed til the early hours of this morning.
