Police looking into reports of a man following children in Waterlooville say they are not linked.
It's after officers received several reports of a man following and running after children.
Police say in three cases no crime was committed but they are still investigating the assault of a 14-year-old girl in the Shaftesbury Avenue area last month.
Officers want to reassure the community in the Stakes, Purbrook and Crookham areas of Waterlooville over the safety of their children after three more suspicious incidents were reported to police in the area.
Inspector Dave Humphries, Sector Inspector for Waterlooville said: "Detectives can confirm that further allegations of suspicious incidents in the area initially considered as being linked, are not.
"Whilst enquiries are ongoing on one of the incidents; investigations into the others have found that no offences have been committed and although each are suspicious in nature, the circumstances of them in their own right are all very different and are not connected and/or linked to the assault."
"We will continue to investigate all such reports of suspicious behaviour and we would still urge all parents to be aware of educating their children about stranger danger and staying safe, however at this time we would urge people not to be alarmed, but to remain vigilant and continue reporting any suspicious behaviour to police."
