Man Charged Over Sex Attack

A man's been charged over a sex attack on a woman in Southampton's Bedford Place.

Detectives investigating an allegation of sexual assault on a 21 year old woman in Bedford Place, Southampton, in the early hours of Wednesday, May 30, have charged a man.
 
Sabir Yaqbi, 25, of York Close, Southampton, has been charged with Sexual Assault on a Female under the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
 
Mr Yaqbi is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates Court today - Thursday, May 31.

Meanwhile, detectives are continuing their investigations in connection with a similar assault against a 19 year old woman in Palmerston Park, in the early hours of Tuesday, May 29.
