Knifepoint Robbery In Bitterne
Bitterne detectives are appealing for information after two local youths were robbed at knifepoint on Monday, August 27.
At about 7.45pm, the 20-year-old victims were walking in Wavell Road near the junction with Tedder Road, when they were confronted by two other youths, who demanded that they turn out their pockets.
Both offenders are believed to be between 15 and 18 years old, white and of medium build. The first carried a silver kitchen knife. He was 5ft 5ins to 5ft 8ins tall and wore a waist length black nylon hooded jacket with a white Nike tick on the chest, black track suit bottoms and a black scarf over his lower face.
The second offender was shorter than the first and dressed in a navy blue hooded jumper with a white Northface logo on the left upper chest. He wore black Nike Air trainers with a blue sole and blue Nike tick. He also had a black scarf over his lower face.
The second offender was accompanied by a small brown and tan Staffordshire bull terrier dog. The dog wore a body harness, connected to a chain lead with a black leather handle.
The victims handed over a Blackberry phone, cigarettes and tobacco, before the offenders ran off in the direction of the Cat and Mouse pub, running across a car park, green area and play park of the Wavell Estate.
