Around 35 firefighters have tackled a blaze in a disused building in the Portswood area of Southampton.
It broke out at around 3.30pm on Wednesday April 25th - it's thought the building was a row of garages. The building is behind the Clean Getaway Car Wash in the Portswood Road area.
The road reopened at around 9pm. There are no reports of any injures.
In a statement while the fire was being damped down, Hampshire Police said:
"A section of Portswood Road in Southampton will remain closed for the next few hours while Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service deals with a fire.
"The fire started in a disused building on Portswood Road earlier today. The flames are now pretty much out but the crews are still damping down.
"We've been assisting with the road closures which are on a section of Portswood Road at the city centre end.
"The fire service tells us there isn't much smoke, but it's a good idea to keep doors and windows shut if you live close by."
