A 17-year-old girl has appeared in court charged with murder following the death of another teenager.
Officers were called to a house in Spruce Way, Holytown, at around 10.25am on Thursday where an 18-year-old man was found seriously injured.
An ambulance also attended, however the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene in the North Lanarkshire village just outside Motherwell.
A 17-year-old girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with murder, impeding police and threatening behaviour when she appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Friday.
She did not enter a plea and was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
A 15-year-old boy who was arrested in connection with the incident on Thursday was liberated and did not appear in court.
