The mother of a teenager who died when the car she was driving plunged into a river has paid tribute to her "gorgeous girl''.
Amy Simpson, 18, was driving a car with four passengers inside when it left the road and entered the River Avich at Druimdarroch, Argyll and Bute, on Tuesday.

In a statement issued by police, Ms Simpson's mother Angela said: "My gorgeous girl Amy wasn't just the perfect daughter, she was my best friend, my soulmate and my rock, and she made me so proud.
"One day I will make her as proud of me as I was of her. I am absolutely heartbroken and it's hard to find the words at this distressing time to express just how much I will miss her. Rest in peace Toots.''
Ms Simpson, of Cowdenbeath, Fife, died at the scene of the crash, which happened at 6.45pm near the village of Dalavich, Taynuilt.
