Police have named a man who died in a road accident in South Lanarkshire.
Calvin McIntosh, 19, from Larkhall, died following a collision on the A71 Ayr Road on February 11.
The accident happened at about 5pm while Mr McIntosh was driving his white BMW east when he was involved in a collision with a blue Volkswagen Polo travelling in the opposite direction.
He suffered serious head injuries and was taken by ambulance to Wishaw General Hospital before being transferred to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.
Mr McIntosh died of his injuries on Wednesday.
A 58-year-old woman, who was driving the Volkswagen Polo, and her 24-year-old daughter, who was a front-seat passenger, were taken by ambulance to Wishaw General Hospital.
The driver suffered leg and back injuries and her daughter sustained internal injuries. They remain in hospital and medical staff describe their condition as stable.
Police said a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
Sergeant Joe McGuckien, of Motherwell trunk road policing group, said: "Our enquiries are continuing to determine the circumstances surrounding this road traffic collision, which has resulted in the death of a 19-year-old-man.
"A number of passing motorists have come forward.
"We are still appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash or who may have information that will assist officers with their enquiries to contact Motherwell trunk roads policing group.''
