Four people have been arrested after the alleged attempted murder of a 33-year-old man in Dumfries and Galloway.
Police said three men aged 19, 16 and 16 and a 15-year-old boy are being held in custody in connection with an incident in Dumfries.
It follows an incident at 9.30pm on Tuesday where a 33-year-old-man suffered serious injuries after a disturbance at a house in Barrie Avenue.
He was taken to Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary for treatment, where his condition is described as serious.
Police Scotland said a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
