North East Teenage Girls Charged With Murder

Two teenage girls from Northumberland will appear in court charged with the murder of a man from Blyth.

An 18 year old from Ashington and a 16 year-old from Blyth are accused of killing 24 year old Christopher Chapman of Winmill Grove in Cowpen.

He was taken to hospital after being found with stab wounds early on Tuesday morning but died later.

A man and a woman were also arrested but have been released with no further action.

The two girls will appear before South East Northumberland Magistrates Court.
