A man suspected of the murder of a man in Middlesbrough and a woman in Whitby has been charged.
36-year-old James Allen, who was caught after a major manhunt, will appear before magistrates today.
81 year old Colin Dunford, from Middlesbrough, and 50 year old Julie Davison, from Whitby, were found dead at their homes last week, having suffered head injuries.
James Allen was arrested in Leeds on Sunday and has been charged with two counts of murder, rape, false imprisonment, assault and witness intimidation. He will appear at Teesside Magistrates' Court this morning (Wednesday 2nd May)
