Remembrance Service For Yorkshire Soldiers

Hundreds will attend a remembrance service in Huddersfield later for the six British soldiers, including one from Cheshire, killed in Afghanistan.
20 year old Pte Daniel Wade from Warrington died alongside 20 year old Cpl Jake Hartley, 20 year old Pte Anthony Frampton, 21 year old Pte Daniel Wilford,19 year old Pte Christopher Kershaw and 33 year old Sgt Nigel Coupe when their armoured vehicle was hit by a Taliban bomb on 6 March.
The Bishop of Wakefield, the Rt Rev Stephen Platten will lead the service at Huddersfield Parish Church.
Five of the soldiers were serving with the 3rd Battalion The Yorkshire Regiment
Sgt Coupe, was on secondment to the regiment from 1st Battalion The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment.
His funeral and Cpl Hartley's were held last month.
The funerals of Pte Frampton and Pte Wilford's were held at Huddersfield Parish Church earlier this month.
Pte Wade's funeral took place in Warrington, his home town, on Friday.
The funeral of Pte Kershaw, who was from Bradford, is due to be held on 24 May.
All six soldiers had been deployed to Afghanistan on 14 February.
