Police have released CCTV of a man suspected of being involved in a robbery in Manchester while casually carrying a cup of coffee.
The crime took place at Oasis News on Portway at about 10.45am on New Year’s Day when two men handed a bin bag to a cashier and demanded he fill it with cigarettes and tobacco. In total four bin bags were filled with cigarettes and tobacco.
The men also stole cash from the till. As part of the subsequent investigation two men, both aged 25, have been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery.
CCTV images of the two men suspected of carrying out the robbery have been released and police are appealing for anyone who knows them to get in touch. Detective Constable Matthew Farrell, of West Didsbury CID, said: "These two offenders are clearly nonchalant in their attitude to this crime: one has made no attempt to conceal his face and the other is casually carrying round a hot drink. Someone will know exactly who these two are."
