Two men have been charged after a man was left for dead following a stabbing in broad daylight in Hindley.
The 59-year-old was walking out the front door of a house in Worcester Avenue at 9.55am on Sunday when he was attacked,
Two men stabbed him 'multiple times' and demanded the keys to his white C220 Mercedes.
Lee Daniels and Keiran Wright, both 26 and from Castleway in Hindley, are charged with section 18 assault, attempted robbery, burglary and possession of an offensive weapon.
Meanwhile, police have told Capital the victim is making 'good progress' in hospital.
Detective Inspector Graham Atherton said: "Following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, we have now charged two individuals.
"I know people in the community will continue to have questions but it is important we let the legal process take its natural course and not speculate.
"What I would say is that we are continuing to appeal to anyone with information about this attack to come forward, and we have not ruled out making further arrests of those who may have been involved in any aspect of this investigation."
