A man's behind bars for raping a woman in Manchester city centre.
19 year old Daniel Mcdonagh of Dunston Street, Openshaw was sentenced to six and a half years for the attack back in March.
In the early hours of 26 March , Mcdonagh met with the 33-year-old victim for sex.
He took her to Baring Street, Ancoats when he pushed her against a wall, threatened to kill her and then raped her.
Detective Sergeant Paul Copplestone from North Manchester CID said:
'This was a vicious and callous attack on a vulnerable victim
'McDonagh is clearly a dangerous man and the victim has shown extreme bravery in coming forward and helping police put a case forward that has resulted in Mcdonagh spending time behind bars.'
