Man Jailed For Exploiting Young Girls

A 25 year old man from Stockport has been jailed for 18 months for abusing seven girls online.
Guy Greatorex from Woodford Road, Bramhall contacted 7 girls through social networking sites. He persuaded them to send explicit pictures of themselves to him in return for alcohol, cigarettes and money.
He was arrested on May 16th 2012, his house was searched by officers who found 60 indecent images.
Greatorex has been found guilty of 7 counts of inciting girls between 14 and 16 years of age to engage in child pornography and one count of possessing indecent images of children.
DC Steve Lowe from Stockport’s Child Sexual Exploitation Unit, says: “Social networking sites like Facebook are extremely popular forums for young people to communicate with their friends.
I want to highlight this case to stress how extremely important it is that parents and guardians are mindful of who their children are speaking to on social media sites and perhaps speak to them of the associated dangers of speaking to and sharing material with strangers"
