Man Charged Over Oldham Murder

Police were called out to a house on Matthew Close on Friday morning following reports a woman had a serious injury to her throat.

38-year-old Razu Khanum was taken to hospital but died from her injuries. 

A post-mortem examination has established that the cause of death was severe head trauma and neck injuries. 

31-year-old Foyez Ahmed of Matthew Close is due to appear before Oldham Magistrates' Court on Monday.
