Intruders Threaten Hattersley Woman

A woman was threatened after confronting intruders who broke into her Hattersley home.

At about 9pm on Thursday 26 April 2012, a 33-year-old woman hear noises coming from the kitchen of her home on Albany Way.

She went to investigate and was confronted by four men, who threatened her and demanded cash.

The woman handed over some cash and her phone and the men left, heading towards Underwood Road.

One offender is described as white, above 6ft tall, of large/broad build.

He had a scarf covering his face and was wearing dark clothing.

Two others are described as being smaller than the first offender and had their faces covered.

Detective Constable Claire Platt, said: "The woman was understandably extremely shaken at being confronted by four masked intruders who threatened her and stole her property.

"We don't know why they targeted this house but if anyone has any information that can help or thinks they know who is responsible, please get in touch."
