23 year old Mark Short was gunned down in the Cotton Tree pub in Droylsden by a lone masked gunman on Friday night.
A post-mortem has revealed he died from a gunshot wound to the neck.
Three other men in their 20s are being treated in hospital after being shot in the leg and back.
Around 20 people were in the pub when it happened and Greater Manchester Police are appealing for information.
A 34-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder and two other men, aged 21 and 18, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, have been released on bail pending further inquiries until July 30.
A 52-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder and possessing a class A drug has been released on bail until August 6.
