Sex Assault: 17 year old attacked

Police looking for man who attacked teenager in Derby.

Police have released an image of a man who sexually assaulted a young woman as she walked along a path in Derby.

The 17-year-old was walking along a footpath that runs between Pride Parkway and the Roundhouse college buildings at around 10.30pm on Thursday, May 24.

She was approached from behind by a man who put his hands on her shoulders and then sexually assaulted her.

She ran off towards the roundabout on the A6 where she saw several cars drive past and a man walking along the road.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward and are particularly keen to speak to the man seen by the victim once she ran off, or anyone driving along Pride Parkway at the time, who may have seen the young woman or the offender.

The victim has worked with police to produce this image of her attacker. He is white, in his late 20s and around 5ft 10ins tall. He was slim and was either bald or had very short hair. He wore blue jeans, trainers and a white, long-sleeved tracksuit top. He had a bicycle with him.
