A man has been told to appear in court accused of inflicting grievous bodily harm on another man in Leicester.
Sanchez Zampaladus, who's 34, was arrested after a man was found in Market Street, Leicester, at about 8.50pm on Friday.
He's now in a critical condition in hospital.
The 26 year-old has been transferred to Nottingham's Queen's Medical Centre having first been taken to the Leicester Royal Infirmary.
34 year-old Sanchez Zampaladus has been remanded in custody to appear at Leicester Magistrates' Court tomorrow (Monday 7 June).
A second man was released with no further action.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident and want anyone who can help them or may have seen what happened to get in touch on 101.
