A woman from Leicestershire, accused of abusing Madeleine McCann's mum and dad online, has been found dead in a hotel in Leicester.
63-year-old Brenda Leyland from Burton Overy was exposed as being one of the people targeting the McCanns and confronted by reporters.
That meeting was shown earlier this week and a few days later, she'd left her home.
Leicestershire Police were called to reports of a body being found at a hotel room in Smith Way, Grove Park in Enderby on Saturday.
The death isn't being treated as suspicious.
Sky News, whose reporter interviewed Mrs Leyland, said in a statement:
'We were saddened to hear of the death of Brenda Leyland. It would be inappropriate to speculate or comment further at this time.'
'Grave Concerns'
The dad of Madeleine McCann called on Friday for an example to be made of 'vile' internet trolls who have been targeting the family.
Gerry McCann said he had ''grave concerns'' about letting his twins use the internet after threats of violence and kidnapping.
Mr McCann said he and wife Kate did not read such material because it was too ''upsetting''.
