She was crossing Park Lane when she was knocked down.
Police are appealing for witnesses after a pensioner was knocked down and killed while crossing the road in north east Birmingham.
The 74-year-old woman from Handsworth, was hit by a black BMW as she tried to cross the road in Park Lane, Aston, at around 4pm on Friday.
The victim was taken to hospital, but died later that evening.
The driver remained at the scene and is assisting police with their investigation, West Midlands police said.
Pc Mark Crozier said: "A lady has tragically lost her life and our thoughts are with her family at this terribly traumatic time.
"We want to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have information to help us establish the circumstances of this collision.
"We would appeal to any driver on Park Lane who may have dash cam footage at around the time of the collision to contact us."
