The 'E.T' star gave a rendition of 'Hey Jude' at the MusiCares event in Los Angeles last night.
Katy Perry has thanked Sir Paul McCartney for inviting her to perform at the MusiCarers pre-Grammys 2012 tribute concert.
The 'I Kissed A Girl' star gave a performance of 'Hey Jude' at the event which honoured the former Beatle.
She took to her Twitter account following the show to offer her thanks to the legendary musician.
"Thanks to Sir Paul McCartney for inviting me to give my spin on "Hey Jude" As Eddie Izzard said tonight, your songs are eternal! #MUSICCARES," she tweeted.
The star joined the likes of Coldplay, Neil Young and Alicia Keys who all played musical tributes to the singer.
Katy will no prepare for another live performance as she takes to the stage at the Staples Center in Los Angeles for the 54th annual Grammy Awards where she is also fighting out for two awards.
