The Welsh Government are putting 4.5 million pounds is going into hiring and training up more primary care staff.

This means we could be getting more GPs, nurses and dentists here in Wales.

It comes after claims we're going into a recruitment crisis...

Dr Charlotte Jones is from British Medical Association and represents GPs across Wales...

"It's a good start but we need to build on that and make sure the money that is available is used in the very best way...

...in an ideal world I like to see lots more GPs who can deliver high quality care closer to patients homes."

A focus is also being put onto students who are training to come doctors and nurses...

They're saying those who commit to becoming a GP after studying will get their tuition fees paid for.

Atif Badeer is studying medicine at Cardiff University and says...

"I don't think it would be any one thing that would make me stay to be honest, I think has to be a combination of things...

...I would look to start my career here in Wales though as it's quite nice to start your career where you've already trained."

Welsh Secretary of the BMA - Dr Richard Lewis - has now been appointed to help put the plans in place.
