Winchester: Man Dies After Car Collides With Parked Lorry

A man's died after the car he was in smashed into a lorry, which was parked in a lay-by near Winchester.

Police were called at 4.56pm Sunday, July 19, to the westbound carriageway of the A303 west of Bullingdon Cross interchange.

A car travelling west was involved in a collision with a lorry parked in a lay-by.

Two people were travelling in the car: the driver and a front seat passenger.

The front seat passenger, a man, was later pronounced dead.

The car driver, a woman, is receiving medical attention for critical injuries.

Hi next-of-kin are being informed.

The lorry driver received minor injuries, and was taken to hospital as a precaution.

Police say witnesses or anyone with information about the collision can contact Sergeant Darren Brown at Whitchurch police station by phoning 101 and quoting Operation Sistene.
