Man Attacked Outside Portsmouth Pub

A man's been taken to hospital with a serious head injury, after being attacked in Portsmouth.
The 27-year-old from Waterlooville was approached by a man he did not know outside The Victory pub opposite The Hard interchange.
Initial enquiries have established the victim was hit more than once in the face until he fell unconscious to the floor.
He was taken to hospital to receive medical attention for a head injury, which is serious but not life-threatening.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Amanda Waite said:
"This was an unprovoked and vicious assault. There were quite a few people around at the time so we are appealing for anyone who witnessed the attack or who may know the offender."
The assault happened between 3.40am and 3.50am on Sunday 6 October.
