Tyres worth up to £20,000 have been stolen from a sealed container near Romsey.
Police at Romsey are appealing for information after the theft of 116 tyres, valued at between £15,000 and £20,000.
Between 3am and 6am Wednesday, December 18, thieves gained entry to a sealed container at premises in Test Lane, Nursling Industrial Estate, Southampton.
The tyres are all Michelin brand and are suitable for cars and lorries.
PC Lindsay Miell is appealing for information from the public. She said:
"The quantity of the stolen property means that the offenders must have used a container-sized lorry or two vans to remove the tyres.
Police need to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and who heard or saw anything suspicious. We also need to hear from any individual or business that is offered new Michelin tyres for a much reduced price."
