Two Arrested After Newsagent Robbery
Police have made two arrests after armed robbers held up a newsagents in Southampton - threatening staff with knives.
At 6.40am on Sunday, April the 7th, two men entered the Thornhill Newsagent in Thornhill Park Road and threatened staff with knives. It is believed that they fled the store with cigarettes and cash. The staff were not harmed but left very shaken.
The two men are thought to have joined others waiting outside for them and fled through Thornhill Park woods. Police arrested two people at a nearby address, recovering a number of knives, but others suspects are still outstanding.
Police say the investigation is still at an early stage but they are looking at any potential link to Friday's knifepoint robbery at Costa in Antelope Park in Southampton.
