Police are appealing for information about an unprovoked assault in Portsmouth.
The victim, 18, was walking with a friend down Binsteed Road towards Kingston Road around 9.10pm, Friday, January 28.
A man and a woman were approaching and as they got close, the man lunged towards the victim.
The offender is described as:
-A white man
-Aged in his 30s
-6ft 3ins tall
-Slim build
-Gingery stubble
-Wearing a white hooded top and black jacket
-The woman is described as aged in her 20s, wearing a black top with fur around the collar and brunette hair.
The victim and his friend managed to make their way home and call the police. He was treated at the Queen Alexandra Hospital for injuries to his stomach.
DC Jim Garrett from Portsmouth CID said:
“This is an unprovoked attack on the victim and could have led to very serious injuries. I am appealing for any witnesses to this incident who may have seen the male or female.”
