Teenage Girl Disturbs Burglar
Police are appealing for information after a teenage girl came face to face with an offender during an attempted burglary in Winchester.
At around 3pm on Wednesday, June 27 an attempted burglary occurred at an address in Winchester.
The offender entered the property in Paddock View, Littleton, via an insecure rear door, while a 15-year-old girl was inside.
The family’s dog began to bark causing the girl to investigate. The girl then came face to face with the offender.
The offender then left the house empty handed.
PC Emma Purser, said: "Thankfully this type of incident is very rare. I am appealing for anyone with any information about this incident to come forward.
"I am particularly interested to hear from anyone in the Littleton area of Winchester who may have had unusual callers recently or noticed anything suspicious in the area.”
