Teen Hurt After Southampton Robbery

Police in Southampton are appealing for witnesses after a man was attacked and robbed.

It happened between 3 and 3.30am on Wednesday April 11 at Bedford Place in the city centre. 

An 18 year old man was sitting on a low wall opposite the Sainsbury’s store when he was punched in the head; causing him to fall backwards.

He was punched a further five times and had his head stamped upon. His mobile phone was taken and his attacker made off along Henstead Road, off of Bedford Place.

The robber is described as: Male Late teens to early 20s 5ft 10 Short blonde hair, cropped at the sides Slim build.

The victim was treated in hospital for his injuries. 

Detective Constable John Goulbourne is investigating: “We’d like to hear from anyone who saw this unprovoked attack.

“Did you see anything suspicious as you walked home from a night out? Please contact us with any information.”
