Student Virtually Blinded After Attack

Police in Southampton are appealing to people, especially students, who may have witnessed an attack on three women in Southampton to come forward.
A 21-year-old women suffered a stroke after the attack and has know been left totally blind in one eye and with very little vision in the other.
The women all in their early 20s were attacked by two other women of a similar age directly outside the POP nightclub in Vernon Walk in the Bedford area of the city. It was a student night event at the club and it happened about 12.40am on Wednesday, May 18th but details have only recently been reported to the police.
The two attackers are described as: White and in their early 20s with dark hair. One was of medium build with blond hair and around 5ft 7 inches tall the other about 5ft 5 inches tall and of slim build.
A 20-year-old woman from Portsmouth and a 21-year-old woman from Southport have both been arrested in connection with the assault and have been released on bail while enquiries continue until August 4.
